Ann has had a career in the nursing profession in Christchurch in nursing education, nursing management and latterly as a District Nurse. Alan managed his own business as a motor vehicle repairer, served on the National Board of the Motor Trade Association and completed three terms as a Waimakariri District Councillor. They now have the time to look after you, their guests.

Parapara Holiday House in Golden Bay (or Para Para), near Collingwood

Another option for accommodation in Golden Bay is our Parapara Holiday House.It is situated at 42 Lookout Road, and as its name suggests, has stunning views over the Parapara Estuary and the sea.

It is totally self contained and fitted with quality furnishings. You can dine outside on the verandah or curl up with a book beside the log burner.

The beautiful Parapara beach which is good for swimming and walking, is a 10 minute walk down the hill (15 mins back)! The house is 10 minutes by car from Collingwood, 20 minutes from Takaka and 5 minutes from the Mussel Inn! The Heaphy Track, Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit and other attractions of Golden Bay such the Anatoki Salmon Farm are all easily accessible.
